Often times, Ive witnessed that when students dont feel like writing, it doesnt matter how many ways you attempt to ask a question, they will always choose to give a one or two word answer, which isnt very helpful. Therefore, Ive ruled out using any type of course evaluation that asks them to put their thoughts and feelings about course matter into complete sentences and paragraph form.
